Children's Day was celebrated on Friday, 23 rd October 2009 in our centre. Our children took to the mini stage for some dancing and poses to win the judges' hearts to grasp the ‘Best Dressed Girl' and ‘Best Dressed Boy' for each level; i.e. from Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten 2.
Do not underestimate these children as they know what is the meaning of ‘Showing our Best!'

MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL
A lantern-making competition was held this month in conjuction with Mid-Autumn Festival.
The 3 winning lanterns:
Peh Yi Xuen with his grandparents holding the winning lantern.
Sathayaswaruben and his parents with the lantern that won the 2nd prize.
Foong Weng Jun and his mum with the lantern that won 3rd prize.
4th TERM ACTIVITIES
The following activities were held in view of the theme for the 4th term which is "Occupation".
Officers from the Balai Bomba presenting a talk and demonstration on Fire safety and prevention.
Talk on oral hygiene by dental nurses from Jabatan Pergigian.
Our children had the opportunity to ride on the Superbikes provided by the Officers from the Traffic Polis.
To get a feel of what it's like being in a taxi is what most of our children are looking forward to on this happy day.
TRAIN RIDE FOR KINDERLAND CHILDREN
In view of the theme for the 2nd half of the 2nd term which is 'Transportation,' our children with ages ranging from 4 to 6 took part in a train ride from Ipoh to Batu Gajah, Perak in May 2009. The excited children were accompanied by their teachers during the ride. The children also went on a study trip to the Ipoh Aero Club to see some private planes and helicopters and later to the Medan Gopeng Bus Terminal to see the Express Buses. To round off the trip, the children went to a lorry showroom to do some 'exploration.' The objective of the trip is to expose our children to various types of transportation and their uses. Our children also had the chance to sit in a trishaw during the early part of the month.
STUDY TRIP TO THE PET SHOP
In accordance to our 2nd Term's Theme, 'Creatures Great and Small,' our children with ages ranging from 4 to 6 accompanied by their teachers visited a pet shop in Tasek, Ipoh in April 2009. The children had a 'whale' of a time looking at the various types of fish and sea creatures like lobsters and crabs. The children were also excited over the bunnies, turtles and hampsters. To round off the visit, each child took home a Betta fish in a cute container. The objective of the trip is to allow our children to have a better insight and awareness of different species of fish and other animals.

PEOPLE TO PEOPLE WORLD LEADERSHIP FORUM IN WASHINGTON D.C.
11 YEAR OLD ARATHI JEYARATNAM WAS THE ONLY SUCCESSFUL NOMINEE FROM MALAYSIA TO ATTEND THE PEOPLE TO PEOPLE WORLD LEADERSHIP FORUM IN WASHINGTON D.C. THE FORUM STARTED ON THE 9 TH AND ENDED ON THE 14 TH OF MARCH 2009. ARATHI, ELDEST DAUGHTER OF DR. JEYARATNAM AND DR ANJALAI WAS NURTURED IN TADIKA KINDERLAND, IPOH SINCE SHE WAS 4 YEARS OF AGE, WHICH HER FATHER SAID PLAYED A VITAL ROLE IN LAYING HER FOUNDATION IN HER EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT.
ARATHI, WHOSE YOUNGER SISTER ALSO ATTENDED THE SAME KINDERGARTEN WAS ONE OF THE 7 APPLICANTS NOMINATED BY THE PRINCIPAL OF TADIKA KINDERLAND. THE CRITERIA FOR THE NOMINEES IS THAT THEY MUST EXCEL IN ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AS WELL AS OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL. BOTH THE SISTERS ARE NOW STUDYING IN SK. MARIAN CONVENT, IPOH . ACCORDING TO KINDERLAND'S PRINCIPAL, ARATHI DESERVES THE CHANCE TO BROADEN HER HORIZONS THAT MIGHT OPEN MORE DOORS FOR HER IN THE FUTURE.
ARATHI WAS EXCITED OVER THIS ‘ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE' WHEN SHE TURNED UP AT THE KINDERGARTEN BEFORE THE TRIP, WITH HER FATHER AND SISTER, SANGEETA. SHE FEELS PROUD IN REPRESENTING MALAYSIA AND DR JEYARATNAM SAID IT IS A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT FOR HER. ARATHI JOINED 30 OTHER PARTICIPANTS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES. TO ATTEND THE FORUM.. ACCOMPANYING ARATHI ON THE TRIP WERE HER FATHER, DR JEYARATNAM AND SISTER, SANGEETA.
